Near our hotel lies a historic site – the battlefield where, on April 4, 1794, the famous Battle of Racławice was fought under the command of Tadeusz Kościuszko. It was here that the scythe-bearing peasant soldiers, led by Bartosz Głowacki, earned their place in history by displaying extraordinary courage and defeating the enemy despite their modest armament. One particularly memorable moment was when Bartosz Głowacki seized an enemy cannon, extinguishing the fuse with his hat.
We invite you to visit this extraordinary site and take a walk through its grounds, rich in history and patriotic spirit. It’s a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of past events and reflect amidst picturesque landscapes.
